Programmes for lecturers as part of LMU Sustainability Week

How can sustainability issues be systematically integrated into one's own teaching at university? What resources are already available for this purpose? And how can courses be conceptually aligned with education for sustainable development (ESD)? As part of Sustainability Week, lecturers can participate in events for further training in university teaching in order to gain inspiration for their own teaching.

Education for sustainable development (ESD) in teaching means, among other things, establishing links between sustainable development issues in social, environmental, and economic matters and the respective academic disciplines. ESD-relevant learning and research methods can also be integrated into the teaching concept so that courses are participatory, creative, and design-oriented.
A wide range of examples from different disciplines will be used to show how this can be implemented in practice. The workshop also offers participants the opportunity to network with each other.

Sodann dient die Betrachtung ausgewählter Transformationsfelder (u.a.

Meetup "ESD teaching modules" (Munich Center for Teacher Training)

How can education for sustainable development be firmly established in university teaching and, in particular, in teacher training programs?

In the "BNE-Lehrbausteine" project, we are developing a digital tool that provides didactic teaching and learning materials on sustainable development topics for various subjects. The aim is to support lecturers in integrating ESD topics into their courses.
At the ESD Teaching Modules Meetup , we will present the concept and initial sample teaching modules, engage in dialogue with interested parties, and gather valuable input for the further development of the project.
